Acoustic Art Productions was founded in the spring of 2003. The concept grew out of my love of the
acoustic arts. After several years of promoting artists like Butch Baldassari and the Nashville
Mandolin Ensemble in Wichita Falls the plunge was taken to work on a larger and more visible scale.
I have been very fortunate to have friends in the music world like Butch, Beppe Gambetta, and Don
Stiernberg. Their willingness to come to this part of the world and play has helped me spread the
message that great music is possible in small venues and for a reasonable price.
The ultimate goal of Acoustic Art Productions is to develop the acoustic arts in the North Texas
region and hopefully make more venues available to artist as they travel across this country. I hope
to develop strong ties with acoustic artists and aid in the production and propagation of their
art.

Dr. Brian Hull is an acoustic art enthusiast to say the least. Born in North Carolina, Dr. Hull grew
up with the sounds of Bluegrass, Homer and Jethro, Chet Atkins and Segovia playing on his father's
stereo. An instrument was always around and Dr. Hull was always playing something with strings on
it. Music was always a part of his life, and in 1989 he was given a tape of Tony Rice playing
guitar. That year he made his first of 13 trips to Winfield Kansas to the Walnut Valley Festival.
Life would never be quite the same.
Through the years, many great relationships have developed. Butch
Baldassari has probably been the biggest influence with his incredible music and his breadth of
knowledge in the music scene. Dr. Hull plays flat-pick style guitar but really considers the
mandolin as his main love. (As with everyone, they all tried the fiddle but soon find that it comes
from another place altogether.) He can be seen picking with his friends or playing with a local band
whenever the time permits. His interest includes Bluegrass, Swing, Jazz, Dawg music, Celtic and
Classical.
When Dr. Hull is not involved in music he can be found in his busy Family Practice
clinic where he pays the bills so to speak. Many of his patients get to listen to the sounds of
great music while in the office waiting for an appointment. His wonderful wife, Nancy (who
endured 2 years of fiddle lessons) and three children, Kenneth, Kate, and Meghan all
love music of all types and all play. Dr. Hull truly considers himself a blessed man and believes in
the saying... pay it forward.
